We are very happy about our publication in Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. dealing with the structure- and data-driven protein engineering of transaminases. First, we improved catalytic activity of a transaminase 2,000-fold by rational design and then used the data set generated to enhance its performance using data-driven design of optimized variants, which also includes enzyme variants with inverted stereoselectivity, see here.
