Dr. Andreas Schlundt accepted the call to a professorship of biochemistry at the University of Greifswald.

Dr. Andreas Schlundt who is Emmy Noether group leader at the Goethe University Frankfurt accepted the call to the University of Greifswald. His research focus is on post-transcriptional  control of gene expression on the mRNA level by studying regulatory mRNA-protein complexes. Dysregulation of these post-transcriptional processes results in the development of severe diseases such as cancer and autoimmunity. His lab has a strong methodological expertise in NMR but also in other biophysical techniques, including X-ray crystallography, and biochemistry. Dr. Schlundt will follow Prof. Klaus Weisz, heading the group for Analytical Biochemistry at the Institute of Biochemistry, who will retire end of March 2024.
