Understanding the effects of electrical stimulation on cell mechanics and dynamics is essential for the design of implants. We will investigate how electrical signals influence cell adhesion mechanisms, particularly through integrins, which are crucial for processes like wound healing and tissue repair. Protein adsorption on conductive polyelectrolyte multilayer films and 3D conductive surfaces as well as cell growth on such surfaces under electrical stimulation will be studied. The findings aim to optimize electrostimulation for improved implant performance.
